Akers Construction (ACN 687 934 318) ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you visit our website at akersconstruction.com.au or engage our commercial carpentry and construction services in NSW.
This policy operates in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
When you contact us via our website, by phone, or in person, we may collect:
- Your name and preferred contact method
- Your phone number and email address
- The location of the proposed work
- A description of the service you are enquiring about
- Any message or details you choose to share with us
1.2 Information collected automatically
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use our website. It records the pages you view, how you arrived, general information about your device and browser, and your approximate location. We use this to see which of our services and locations people are looking for, so we can improve the site.
About your IP address. Google Analytics collects your IP address. It is used to estimate your approximate location (roughly city level) and to filter out spam traffic. Google does not link raw IP addresses to individual user identifiers, and discards them after use. If we ever connect Google Analytics to a Google Ads account to measure advertising, your IP address may also pass to Google Ads in an encrypted form that cannot identify you. You can read how Google handles this data at google.com/policies/privacy/partners.
We also collect automatically:
- Standard server and security logs held by our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare (for example IP address, browser type and requested pages), used to operate and protect the site
- When you submit our contact form, a delivery log entry recording the submission outcome; the IP address in this log is anonymised before storage
- Cloudflare Turnstile spam-protection tokens, used only to distinguish humans from bots
We do not run advertising or remarketing pixels on this website.
1.3 Information we do not collect
- Government identifiers (Medicare, driver licence, passport, tax file number)
- Financial account numbers (we do not process payments through this site)
- Information about your race, religion, political opinions or similar sensitive matters
- Information about anyone under 16
If you accidentally send us sensitive information through our contact form, we will delete it within 30 days unless required to keep it for legal reasons.
2. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Respond to your enquiry and provide quotes for commercial carpentry and construction work
- Schedule and perform the work you have engaged us for
- Issue invoices and receipts, and follow up on outstanding payments
- Send you project updates, follow-ups and warranty notifications
- Send marketing communications about our services (only if you have opted in or are an existing client, and you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Comply with our legal obligations under NSW licensing, work health and safety, taxation and consumer-protection laws
We will not use your information for any other purpose without your consent.
3. How we share your information
3.1 Service providers
We use trusted third-party service providers to operate our business. These providers process your information on our behalf and are limited to providing services to us.

3.2 Legal disclosure
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights: for example, in response to a subpoena or to defend a claim.
3.3 Overseas disclosure
Some of the providers in Section 3.1 store and process information outside Australia. In particular, when you send us an enquiry through our website it is received and stored by GoHighLevel in the United States, and our website analytics are processed by Google in the United States and other countries where Google operates. By sending us an enquiry you consent to that disclosure. We do not disclose your information overseas for any other purpose.
3.4 What we never do
- We never sell your personal information.
- We never share your information with third-party marketing lists or data brokers.
- We never use your enquiry to build an advertising or remarketing audience.

5. Cookies and tracking technologies
Our website uses two kinds of cookies and similar technologies. Some are essential for the site to work, including the Cloudflare Turnstile anti-spam tokens on our contact form. Others are set by Google Analytics to measure how the site is used. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.
Australian privacy law (Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles) does not require an EU-style cookie consent banner. Our disclosure obligation under APP 5 is met by this Privacy Policy, which is linked from every page of our website.
Turning analytics off. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, a tracker-blocking browser extension, or your browser's private browsing mode. Blocking these cookies will not stop you using our website or contacting us.
