The Project

Public safety, delivered on time

  1. The Brief

    A public-facing upgrade, delivered safely

    The school needed the front upgraded to look more appealing to the public. Safety was critical, as the bus area was right next to the job site and the works were in a public space, so working safely around the public and finishing in good time were essential.

  2. The Scope

    What we delivered

    We removed a cracked and failing section of retaining wall, poured footings and starter bars, and installed a new 10 metre retaining wall, then rendered and painted the full wall. We removed multiple trees, excavated the rear garden bed area, relaid new hedge trees along new mulched garden beds, and painted new anti-slip treads on the steps leading to the school.

  3. Our Approach

    Site managed for public safety

    Akers managed the site for public safety, providing site management and project management and coordinating other trades including excavation, concrete pumping, bricklaying and tree arborists.

  4. The Outcome

    On time, and the school was happy

    The project was successfully completed on schedule and to a high standard, with the finished result well received by the school.
